Currently in its 27th season, The Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival, the second oldest Jewish Film Festival in the United States, has served the Greater Philadelphia region by providing cultural/artistic/educational programming through the medium of film. This year we will present an impressive lineup of 29 screenings of critically acclaimed feature films and documentaries by many of the finest filmmakers from around the world from November, 2007 – May, 2008. At each screening, distinguished educators, scholars, diplomats, actors and filmmakers provide a forum for discussions and engage in thought-provoking dialogue.
Opening weekend of the festival draws more that 500 people to the film and discussion, which his followed by a reception for patrons and sponsors.
PJFF is also host to the New Filmmakers Weekend featuring new and upcoming filmmakers and Teen Film Fest featuring work by local teens. PJFF has a Young Friends group that hosts unique film-related events throughout the festival year exclusively for younger adults (under 45).
